To this end, WALTER offers a variety of features:
- Unattended inspection and correction of diameter and core diameter
- Grinding wheel correction is applied to all programs
- Inspection of all operations involving wheel elements via IMS+ control point
- No additional license fees if IMS has already been purchased
- Available starting with HELITRONIC TOOL STUDIO Version 3.4
The "Laser Contour Check" (LCC) option offers an intelligent measuring system integrated directly into the WALTER tool grinding and eroding machine for high-precision, non-contact measurement of various tool parameters on cylindrical cutting tools. The laser operation takes place during the process and initiates compensation fully automatically in the HELITRONIC TOOL STUDIO in the event of deviations. Optimized program sequences for cleaning and compensation can be programmed and adapted by the operator. With our LCC option, you are ready for unmanned production. Parameter compensation refers to the external measurement of any parameters on HELICHECK measuring machines. The data is then imported into HELITRONIC TOOL STUDIO, where the captured data is automatically used for compensation on the grinding machine. A key advantage is that no additional hardware is required on the grinding machine for this purpose.
