Training curriculum

The dual study program for a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science lasts three years. The theoretical and practical phases alternate every three months. During the practical phases, you will work on site with us in Tübingen and during the theoretical phases you will study at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in Horb.

During your dual studies, you will acquire a solid grounding in software development, specifically geared towards state-of-the-art control systems. We place particular emphasis on practice-oriented training that provides you with in-depth knowledge and skills. You will gain practical insights into various areas of IT and understand how the individual departments work together. During your practical phase, you will deepen your knowledge in the front-end and back-end areas and work on international software projects. Your tasks will also include carrying out project work independently. You will also have the opportunity to get to know our international locations and work on global activities.

Requirements

Your expected profile:

  • A strong Abitur or good Fachhochschulabschluss (including successful completion of the suitability test at the DHBW), ideally with a focus on mathematics and physics.

In addition:

  • You enjoy working in a team, are communicative and enjoy working in an international environment and in project teams
  • You are enthusiastic about scientific topics and everything to do with technology
  • You are very enthusiastic and highly committed

How can you apply?

The 'dual studies' programs always start in the October of any given year. We expect applications to be submitted roughly 12 months before the start of the training.
